AMD Ryzen 5 5600X & NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 PC Build In India Under ₹1,30,000/-

AMD-Ryzen-5600X-&-NVIDIA-RTX-3070-PC-Build

Today we are going to make a parts list for a PC Build that contains the latest generation hardware in the form of very recently announced AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 while maintaining a high price to performance ratio with very good scope for future upgradabilty if ever required without having to build an all new PC. So lets begin.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X - ~₹29,000/-
AMD-Ryzen-5-5600X
AMD 3 days ago announced its 4th generation of Ryzen CPUs - the Ryzen 5000 Series based on the Zen 3 architecture. Of them was the Ryzen 5 5600X which is going to be the direct replacement for the Ryzen 5 3600X but at the same time AMD has also increased the prices of its processors across the stack by $50 USD considering that their processors now perform better than Intel's offerings not only in productivity and multi-threaded workloads but also in gaming and single-threaded burst workloads. So the 5600X when it arrives on the shelves in India should cost around ₹29,000/- INR or a tad bit less less.

The CPU comes with an in-box cooler but an after market cooler performs well which will help in reduced fan noise and reduced temperatures simultaneously. Usually this cooler will reduce the CPU temperatures at idle by ~10℃ and ~15℃ when under load. You have to remember that reduced temperatures help the CPU in boosting higher.

MSI-B550-Gaming-Plus

The MSI B550 Gaming Plus will be a very good pairing with the Ryzen 5 5600X CPU and has a capable enough VRM that can easily handle a 16 core 32 thread CPU if you ever wish upgrade down the line. This board goes toe-to-toe against the likes of B550 Tomahawk and only heats up a ~5-10℃ higher than the B550 Tomahawk under load when paired with a high end CPU like the Ryzen 9 3950X while costing around ₹2.5K lower compared to the Tomahawk. It also has a fixed I/O shield.

GSKILL-Sniper-X-Series-16GB-3600MHz

We wanted to go for the cheapest 3600MHz 2x8GB RAM kit because Ryzen is heavily memory dependent and same will be the case the new generation of AMD's Ryzen 5000 CPUs. You can overclock the RAM and tighten the timings to squeeze a bit more performance out of your PC with the help of the DRAM Calculator Tool for Ryzen by @1usmus.

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 - ₹51,000/-

geforce-rtx-3070

As the title suggests we are going to use the RTX 3070 for this build which is for now the bang for the buck GPU specially considering that it performs on par with the RTX 2080 Ti while costing less than half of the last year's flagship. NVIDIA is going to sell its Founders Edition model in India for ₹51,000/- INR and you can expect other brands like Galax, Zotac, Colorful and Inno3D to release their cards at or very close to the same MSRP.

kingston-A2000-1TB

For storage we are going with the Kingston A2000 1TB NVMe PCIe Gen 3 SSD. This SSD has the best price to performance ratio in the 1TB SSD market. It has 1GB DRAM capacity which will keep the SSD fast even under long read-write workloads.

Antec-Earthwatts-pro-750W-80+-Gold
For an RTX 3070 NVIDIA themselves recommend a 650W unit but we wanted to go with at least 750W unit so that we can, later down the down the line when it is time to upgrade, drop even an RTX 3080 or other power hungry GPUs that may be released in the future. This 80+ Gold certified PSU from Antec is a reliable unit that will be more than enough for the current build and provide clean power to your Motherboard, CPU, GPU and Storage while also maintaining headroom for future upgrades.

cooler-master-mb511
For case we selected the Cooler Master MasterBox MB511 ARGB. It has a mesh front panel for good airflow, a tempered glass side panel and 3 ARGB fans come pre-installed in the case on the front. You can buy an extra fan here to better the airflow in the case.

You can save around ₹13,000/- by going ditching the after-market cooler and using the stock cooler (₹4,300 saved), going with a cheaper motherboard like B450 Tomahawk Max (₹5,000 saved), choosing 250GB SATA SSD and a 1TB HDD (₹3,500 saved). So total savings = ₹12,800/-. Or you can totally ditch the case to use your PC as an open-air setup and save total of ₹19,929/-.
