Today
I will be listing PC parts for a PC build around Rs. 10,000/- for very light workloads like browsing internet, working on Word documents and Excel sheets etc. Though it is very possible that in the offline market and second hand market you will find the parts listed below at cheaper costs but due to the pandemic you might not want to step out of the house and hence this guide so that you can order your PC components online and build it yourself.
Note that all the components are chosen based on availability, their prices due to a very limited budget and their price to performance aspect compared to all the other available items in the online market i.e. Amazon. Though I have to say upgradability is very limited and only things you can upgrade would be replacing the i3 with an i5 from the same generation, getting a new or second hand cheap graphics card like a GT210 and upgrade your ram to another stick of 4GB memory for minimal to moderate performance gains. You can always invest more money towards storage if you wish to expand it later down the line.
As
we are limited to a 10k budget here we are going with a 3rd Gen i3 processor from Intel which is the most affordable CPU we could find available on Amazon that fell in our budget on the day of writing. We went for the Intel Core i3 3240 processor due to its price to performance consideration compared to all other cheap processors that were available that fell under our budget. This core i3 processor from Intel is a 2 cores and 4 threads CPU and comes with an integrated GPU. You will need to buy a CPU cooler with it to cool the CPU we have provided links for both of them.
We went with the cheapest H61 chipset motherboard with Socket LGA 1155 that supported the aforementioned processors.
For RAM we went with the cheapest and reliable 4GB RAM stick that was available on Amazon on the day of writing. Later if required you can upgrade your RAM by getting a similarly spec'd RAM stick and gain some minor performance improvements.
We chose one of the most affordable yet reliable HDDs having capacity equal to or above 250GB.
We never recommend buying a cheap PSU but due to budget limitations we choose the Zebronics 450W PSU.
We
chose the cheapest case that could fit into our budget and was available on Amazon on the day of writing.
Total Price = INR 10,326/-
