Best PC Build Around Rs 1,25,000/- in India - July 2020 | PC Seekers

Today I will be listing PC parts for a PC build at around Rs. 1,25,000/-. This PC build is mostly oriented towards high frame rate gaming and streaming simultaneously, this PC can also easily handle work oriented multi threaded work loads while maintaining a lot of scope for upgradability in the future.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

The Ryzen 7 3700X from AMD is not the fastest gaming CPU on the market but sure is the best CPU when it comes to price to performance in gaming+streaming work loads where you can allocate 6 out of 8 of its cores towards gaming and 2 cores towards streaming and you and your audience can both enjoy seamless game play and viewing experience respectively. It has 8 cores and 16 threads based on the Zen 2 architecture from AMD on a 7nm process node thus making it an efficient processor in terms of power consumption while enabling us to enjoy high refresh rate gaming in most games while streaming. It comes with Wraith Prism RGB cooler in the box to efficiently cool the CPU.

Note: I would recommend going with an after market cooler if you wish to overclock the CPU. If you want the highest frame rates in games you can always go for an i5-10600K for around the same price but you'll lose a lot more on performance in work oriented multi-threaded workloads and you will need to spend extra money on a capable unlocked Z490 motherboard and an aftermarket cooler, I would rather save this money and invest it on a better GPU.

Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus

The B550 Gaming Plus from MSI is one of the most bang for buck motherboard for min-range and higher end builds in India in my opinion. The MSI B550 Gaming Plus supports 3rd gen Ryzen out of the box as well has bios flashback button. Personally I would not spend anything more than 16.5K on a B550 Motherboard as we get dangerously close to good X570 chipset based motherboards. It comes with 10+2+1 Phase VRM, PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slot for a blazing fast Gen 4 NVMe SSD, 1Gbe Realtek Lan and a heap of USB ports (7 to be precise) on the rear I/O. As all B550 motherboards this motherboard also supports Gen 4 NVMe SSDs and overclocking features. This motherboard will also be perfectly good enough to handle a 16 cores 32 thread Ryzen 9 3950X easily down the line, if you wish to upgrade your CPU when the prices go down, even if you plan on overclocking it.

GPU: Zotac Gaming Geforce RTX 2070 Super Twin Fan

The Nvidia RTX 2070 Super is the best graphics card in the higher end market where you do not have to spend an awful lot to get RTX 2080 levels of performance. The performance of RTX 2070 Super is a bit superior compared to an RX 5700 XT in most games while giving RTX 2080 levels of performance which costs around 15K extra at the least. This Nvidia Graphics card will also allow you to stream your games with it NVENC encoder for smooth streaming without much hit to the performance. The Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 2070 Super Twin Fan is a reputable performer in the line up while being cheaper than the competition.

Note: Nvidia stopped the production of RTX 20XX Super cards to clear the inventory before they launch RTX 30XX series of cards which are expected to arrive somewhere around September, due to this the retailers are raising the prices of these cards to sky high. You can always save some bucks by going with an AMD RX 5700 XT, but Nvidia offers NVENC encoder for smooth streaming while AMD is still working on its encoder for smoother experience.

We choose the cheapest 32GB dual channel ram kit at speeds equal to or above 3200MHz and settled on a 2x16GB 3600MHz CL16 kit. At the price it is a good grab. If you can do some overclocking you can tighten the timings a bit more and gain some extra performance out of it. Do remember to enable the ram overclocking profile in your bios to run the ram at the listed speeds instead of lower JEDEC speed. Based on your motherboard the memory overclock toggle may be listed as DOCP (Direct Overclock Profile), EOCP (Extended Overclock Profile) or XMP (eXtreme Memory Profile).

Note that Crucial BX500 is a DRAM less SSD, we chose this SSD for its price to performance ratio and because we needed to be under our budget. If you wish for an SSD with DRAM then you can go for

For the power supply we searched for reliable power supply whose wattage was 550W or above. This Cooler Master MWE 650W power supply is 80+ Bronze certified and is more than enough to power our PC and still be enough for any future upgrades ranging from a higher wattage CPU to a higher wattage GPU. This PSU also comes with flat black cables, so you do not have to worry about the aesthetics of your PC being damaged by ketchup and mustard cables.

We chose this case for its lower cost and good airflow through its mesh front and its tempered glass side panel. It comes with 4x120mm ARGB fans included in the case and costs a lot less compared to other similarly looking cases with a front mesh panel. Also comes with a full fledged power supply shroud and ARGB controller, the fans can also be controlled with software like Mystic light or Aura Sync etc.
