Turn Snap ON/OFF In Windows 10

In Windows 10 when you drag an application window to any edge or corner of the screen you may notice a circular animation around your mouse cursor and an outline in which your window will be filled once you leave the left mouse button. This feature is called 'Snap'.

Here's how Snap works:

➡️ When you drag the window towards left edge or right edge of your screen the window will be filled in exactly left or right half of the screen.
➡️ When you drag the window towards the upper edge of the screen the window will be maximised.
➡️ When you drag the window towards any corner of the screen the window will be made to fill one-fourth of the screen at that corner.

If you wish to turn this feature of Windows 10 ON/OFF then here's how you will be able to do so:

Turn Snap ON/OFF:

Step 1: Click on the 'Start' icon and open 'settings' by clicking on the  '⚙'  (Gear) icon. Or press Windows+I to open 'Settings' window.

Step 2: Then click on 'System'.

Step 3: Then in the left panel click on 'Multi-tasking'.

Step 4: In the main panel turn the 'Arrange windows automatically by dragging them to the sides or corners of the screen' toggle 'OFF' to turn the Snap feature off. Turning it ON enables this feature in Windows.

You can also customize the Snap feature according to your preferences using the toggles below the main toggle.
