Remove Internet Explorer 11 From Windows


If you use a Windows PC you must be familiar with Internet Explorer! It once used to be the default web browser for Windows. But since the advent of Chrome and Firefox, the use of Internet Explorer hit the rock bottom.

Now with the release of Windows 10, Microsoft released a new browser named 'Microsoft Edge' but still the Internet Explorer lurks in your Windows PC even if you have not used it for years. So, if you wish to get rid of it for good then read on to know how.

Remove Internet Explorer From Your Windows 10 PC:

Step 1: Click on the 'Start' icon and open 'settings' by clicking on the  '⚙'  (Gear) icon.



Step 2: In the 'Settings' Window, click on 'Apps'.


Step 3: In the Apps & Features Window click on 'Manage Optional Features'.



Step 4: In the ⚙Manage Optional Features Window scroll down to find 'Internet Explorer 11'. Just Click on it and hit 'Uninstall'.




That should uninstall Internet Explorer 11 from Windows 10 in a matter of minutes. Restart your PC for the changes to take effect.


There is one more way you can uninstall internet explorer 11 from Windows 10:

Step 1: Search for 'Control Panel' in the search box of the start menu and open the same.


Step 2: Select 'Programs'



Step 3: Select 'Turn Windows features on or off'.



Step 4: In the new Window scroll to find 'Internet Explorer 11' and uncheck the box to disable it or check it to enable the feature.







If you ever wish or need to reinstall 'Internet Explorer 11' then here's how:

Step 1: Click on the 'Start' icon and open 'settings' by clicking on the  '⚙'  (Gear) icon.


Step 2: In the 'Settings' Window, click on 'Apps'.


Step 3: In the Apps & Features Window click on 'Manage Optional Features'.


Step 4: In the'⚙Manage Optional Features Window click on 'Add a feature'





Step 5: In the new Window scroll down to find 'Internet Explorer 11'.


Step 6: Now click on 'Internet Explorer 11' and then on 'Install'.



That's it. Restart your PC for the changes to take effect.
