Step 6: In the rule type, select 'Program' and then 'Next'.

Step 7: Now click the 'Browse' button and specify the path of the .exe file of the program you want to block internet access to and then click 'Next'. How to Disable this rule in special cases:

Step 1: In your start menu search for 'Control Panel' in the search box and open the same.

Step 2: Click on 'System and Security'.

Step 3: Click on 'Windows Defender Firewall'.

Step 4: In the left panel click on 'Advanced settings'.

Step 5: In the new window, in the left panel click on 'Outbound Rules'. Now in the middle panel scroll down to find the name you set to the rule in 'Step 11' above. Now right click on it and select 'Disable Rule' from the drop down list.

Note: This method only works if Windows Defender firewall is turned on in your PC. If Windows Defender Firewall is turned off any outbound / inbound rule already created or new rules that you create in the future will not be performed by Windows. If you have an Anti-virus installed in your PC then go to the firewall of the corresponding Anti-virus and create firewall rules accordingly.
